RuralCo is a remote coliving and coworking space nestled in the mountains of the Valencian Community of Spain. Designed for digital nomads, remote workers, and creatives, we offer private rooms, shared workspaces, and communal areas that foster connection and inspiration in a beautiful Mediterranean landscape.
This coliving is a haven for those seeking a balance between productivity and tranquility. About the owners
Oscar is a founder of Ruralco Coliving. He is a Culla native and enjoys sharing the history, nature and activities with guests. Nara, his partner, is originally from Alaska, USA and has joined the RuralCo team after first visiting the co-living in 2023.

- How do I do groceries?
- In Rural Co, we take turns cooking shared meals except for breakfast which you can prepare on your own. If there are many people at Rural Co., we cook in teams. On Sundays, we choose which days and meals we will cook. Each person pays 65 EUR on a weekly basis for groceries.
- What are the coworking opening hours?
- The location is rural, however we still lock the doors at night and if we leave the premises for a group activity.
- What is the policy on pets? Are there any restrictions, fees or rules?
- We typically do not allow pets, but we have made exceptions on occasion. Please contact us to inquire about bringing pets with you to our coliving.
- How do I get there?
- We recommend arriving to Castellón de la Plana, Spain. From there you can either take the bus or we can pick you up. The bus runs on weekdays (Monday - Friday) departing for Villafranca del Cid at 4:15pm (costs about €4-7). You will need to get off of the bus before reaching Villafranca, at a town called Albocasser. Once in Albocasser you can let us know and we will come and take you to RuralCo. If you want us to pick you up directly from Castellón, we can do so for a 45 EUR fee. The nearest international airport is in Valencia, from there you can easily take the train to Castellón (~1hr).
- What is included?
- Your payment secures your room booking, which covers the cost of rent and utilities. Each person pays a weekly contribution for groceries which is arranged once you have arrived to the coliving.
- Why did you decide to open?
- Rural Co. is an initiative with the objective to provide a tranquil refuge for the wandering digital nomad, to provide a way for computer-centric professionals to reconnect with nature and a rural lifestyle, all while revitalizing a rural area of Spain near the village of Culla - we welcome foreigners and Spanish locals alike to come and experience the rich festivities and culture of this unique area of the country.
- How do you manage the community?
- There is one owner, Oscar, who manages the property with his sister and partner. There are also two donkeys near the property which belong to Oscar. The management facilitates planning for weekly meals, does runs to the grocery store for ingredients, and organizes weekly activities to do inside and outside of Rural Co.
