REC.ON is a peaceful coliving and coworking residence for digital nomads and creatives, located in a small village in the Sierra María-Los Vélez mountains in Andalusia. It’s a place to live and work surrounded by nature, silence, and inspiring views.
Founded in 2019 as part of a sustainable rural project, REC.ON combines eco-living, art, and community. An on-site artistic residency creates a unique environment for connection, creativity, and exchange.

About the owners
Paulina & Bart, an artist and an engineer, passionate about creation, founded REC.ON in 2016 - a brand with upcyled interior design. In 2019, they expanded their vision, creating REC.ON Ecovillage in Andalusia - a living and creative space created on the site of a former goat farm. It's an ecovillage and coliving residence that has become home to remote workers and artists. There is an art gallery, and the whole thing is based on the idea of sustainability, recycling and a deep respect for the culture of Andalusia.

- How do I do groceries?
- Shopping can be done in the nearest town of Velez Rubio, 12 km from the Residence. Every Saturday morning there is a town market, to which we take our Residents. It is also possible to order purchases directly to the Residence. We arrange the details personally on site. The Residence has a permaculture garden with vegetables, fruits and herbs, which you can use during your stay.
- What are the coworking opening hours?
- The coworking space is open 24 H
- What is the policy on pets? Are there any restrictions, fees or rules?
- Small dogs are welcome with prior approval from the owner of the Residence
- How do I get there?
- The nearest airport is Alicante, and the closest ALSA bus stop is in Vélez Rubio, and the nearest train station is in Murcia. The price of the stay includes transport on the day of arrival and departure to the Residence to the bus stop in Velez Rubio.

- Why did you decide to open?
- REC.ON Spain is a unique living space immersed in nature, combining ecological philosophy with a creative spirit. It's the perfect place to work remotely, surrounded by breathtaking mountain scenery and offering opportunities for hiking, mountain biking and exploration. REC.ON ecovillage, located in the tiny village of Bolaimi, in the Los Vélez mountains, Andalusia. Welcomes guests for stays ranging from 2 weeks to 6 weeks. Founded in 2019 by Bart and Paulina, REC.ON Spain was once a goat farm - now it has transformed into a vibrant hub for digital nomads, artists, writers and travelers looking for inspiration. In addition to the rooms, REC.ON also offer 5 parking spaces "Green Spot" for vans and small campers, ideal for digital nomads and those traveling and working remotely or living on the road. There is an on-site coworking space in the building, as well as toilets and showers. The price of your stay includes freshly brewed coffee every day and a home-made breakfast based on organic, bio products.
- How do you manage the community?
- We create a space where residents can combine focused work with relaxation in nature and meaningful connection with a diverse creative community. Our eclectic shared breakfast on the patio is included in the price, where all guests can get to know each other, connect, get inspired and start the day. Once a week, we cook dinner together or go on cultural trips and visits to the local pueblo for tapas. We also host artists and writers on site, which adds to the richness of the environment. One of our key strengths is the mix of people we bring together — artists, travelers and remote workers — creating a dynamic and inspiring community. Our goal is to create a harmonious and intimate place where people feel at home — where they can develop, get inspired and feel part of the community, regardless of their work style or lifestyle.
