About the owners
I'm Selene, founder and community manager of Blue Paradise Coliving. I was born and raised in Tenerife. At 18, I moved to study and work in Germany, England, France, and Switzerland, because I loved to explore diverse cultures and experiences. During those seven years living as a digital nomad, I always returned to this paradise whenever I could to escape the cold and recharge.
During my two years in Switzerland, I lived in a coliving with 64 people. The sense of community and shared growth deeply fascinated me. This profound experience inspired me to bring the concept back to my roots. With my family's financial support, I turned my dream into a reality and opened Blue Paradise Coliving. With this, I aim to give remote workers a home in paradise, where you'll feel included into the family from day one.

How do I do groceries?
There are several convenient options nearby. You'll find the Spanish supermarket chain Mercadona in the city center of Santa Cruz, easily reachable by a direct bus from the co-living. This is especially handy for carrying groceries back, as our villa is close to the center but located on a steep hill. The Canarian chain Hiperdino is another great choice—you can walk through the park to reach it and catch the bus back from there.
At the co-living, you’ll have access to two large fridges and a spacious freezer. Everyone has a dedicated fridge shelf, making it easy to store plenty of healthy food—we believe in supporting a healthy lifestyle with generous food storage for all.
What are the coworking opening hours?
Our two coworking spaces are open 24/7 and offer comfortable ambiance lighting—perfect for night owls or remote workers working in different time zones. Both spaces are located within the villa: one near the garden with sea views, and the other inside the house with peaceful garden views. You’re welcome to use them anytime, day or night.
What is the policy on pets? Are there any restrictions, fees or rules?
We’re an allergy-friendly space, so pets are not allowed. Smoking is also prohibited—both indoors and in the gardens—to maintain a fresh and inclusive environment for all residents.

Whether you're arriving at the South or North Airport, it’s simple to reach us:

From Tenerife North Airport (TFN):
Take bus number 20 for €2 to Santa Cruz Intercambiador. Just like with the South option, Selene might meet you there, or you can hop on bus 912 or take a short taxi ride.

Why did you decide to open?
After living for two years in a large coliving space in Zurich, Switzerland—with 64 incredible housemates—I fell in love with the enriching lifestyle it offered. I met people from all corners of the world and found myself learning something new every single day. From cooking international dishes together in the kitchen, to discovering unique professions and trying out hobbies I’d never even heard of—it was a mind-expanding experience that shaped how I want to live.
When I returned to my home island, I knew I wanted to recreate that same international, horizon-opening atmosphere. Tenerife offers one of the best climates in the world, with year-round sunshine and the possibility to swim in the sea every day—an environment that boosts my well-being and inspires me daily.
I also deeply resonate with the digital nomad mentality: people who believe there’s more to life than the classic 9-to-5 grind. That’s the spirit I wanted to foster here, which is why I, as the founder, live in the co-living myself. This isn’t a business—it’s a lifestyle I cherish, surrounded by a global community that opens my mind and fills every day with connection and inspiration.
How do you manage the community?
Community life is the heart of our coliving. Every Sunday, we head to one of Tenerife’s beautiful beaches for swimming and snorkeling— as an open-water swimmer and passionate snorkel enthusiast, I love showing others the rich underwater world our island offers.
We’re also just minutes from the Anaga mountains, so weekend hikes are a regular tradition. Nature, movement, and shared exploration help us bond and reset.
Once a week, we gather for a coliving dinner. Sometimes we cook together in our shared kitchen—arepas, is one of our favorite dishes. Other times, we head out to discover traditional Canarian restaurants called guachinches, which offer local flavors.
We also dive deep into the island’s cultural life. A personal passion of mine is classical music, flamenco and tango—I attend concerts weekly at Santa Cruz’s magnificent Auditorio, our opera and concert hall. If you love flamenco, I dance it weekly and am always happy to share that rhythm and energy with others. There's also a lot of salsa events here.
And one of our most joyful local traditions? Romerías—colorful folkloric celebrations filled with free food, wine, traditional costumes, and dancing in the streets. These cultural festivities happen over many months, and we love heading out as a community to soak in the traditions and spirit of the island. We have our coliving nine-seater electric van, which makes discovering new corners of Tenerife as a group smooth and fun.
Life here is more than accommodation—it’s connection, growth, and celebration.
