Our POSADA is the fruit of years of searching: a space where life, art, and reflection unite.
We want each stay and each encounter to be an invitation to listen.
POSADA DE LA LUZ is the brainchild of Juanan Requena, born from the desire to open a home where wonder, creativity, and conscious living can coexist, full of resonance.
Juanan has long explored the coexistence of art and life: in his workshops, in his residencies, in his notebooks, in the encounters he has woven from this small town of Torralba de Ribota, where he decided to live to slow down, listen, create, and observe more slowly.
POSADA DE LA LUZ was born as a natural extension of that path: an invitation to be present, to create, to share honestly from within. A home where wonder and silence can be embraced, where introspection and encounter can flourish.
A place to reconnect with nature, to walk slowly, to create from intuition rather than obligation. A place to cultivate creativity, processes, kind relationships, and a sustainable and conscious life.
We don't seek to impress, but to accompany.
We don't offer spectacles: we offer presence.
We don't propose escaping the world, but returning to it with greater clarity.

- How do I do groceries?
- There are no shops of any kind, just our one and only bar, the village bar, where you can buy some basics (canned goods, honey, wine, etc.), have a drink, or even order takeout and, while you're there, meet our tribe of neighbors. That said, the baker visits us every day, and on Tuesdays and Thursdays, two vans arrive full of smiles, vegetables, and fruit.
- What are the coworking opening hours?
- All the day we will be open. Each person will have their own key !
- What is the policy on pets? Are there any restrictions, fees or rules?
- Check‑in 13:00–20:00 / Check‑out before 11:00. • Smoking and parties are not allowed. • No pets allowed. • It is not permitted to accommodate people who are not registered. • From midnight onwards, no noise may be made that could disturb the rest of other guests. • It is not permitted to light candles, incense, or any type of flame inside the rooms.
- How do I get there?
- Getting here is incredibly easy, as we're conveniently located at the crossroads of many routes: You can come by CAR, thanks to the A2 motorway, from Barcelona or Madrid, and the journey will take just a couple of hours. We're on the N234 road, 80 km from the city of Soria and 90 km from Zaragoza. You can also come by TRAIN, and thanks to the AVE high-speed train, you can reach Calatayud, our neighboring town, in just 1 hour from the center of Madrid, or 2 hours if you choose to come from Barcelona. You can also come by BUS or in one of the many shared cars that travel daily between Madrid and Barcelona and pass very close by. Interestingly, for our more adventurous visitors, there's the option of arriving on foot via the ancient Camino de la Vera Cruz (Vera Cruz Way), which connects this northern area with the province of Murcia at a leisurely pace.
- What is included?
- The daily cost of your stay at our HOUSE includes access to and use of all our common areas, as well as the occupancy of your chosen room, for which you will have exclusive use and your own key for the duration of your reservation. These costs include the maintenance of the entire property and a cleaning service for all shared areas. Cleaning and maintenance of your room are not included; however, all our cleaning products and supplies will be available for your use, including our yellow vacuum cleaner and the small battery-operated one. Bed linens, a duvet, pillows, and bath towels are included.
- Why did you decide to open?
- Our house was born from the desire to reconcile humanity with nature. Here there is no rush, only cycles: dawn, fire, rest, connection, and happiness. Each guest contributes a spark to this ephemeral community. We believe in an economy of the common good, in cooperation, and in authenticity. It's about inhabiting a shared purpose: living with awareness, respect, and joy. The kitchen, the garden, the workshop, the terrace, or the breakfast table are temples of dialogue and mutual care: because beauty lies not in things themselves, but in the way we see them.
- How do you manage the community?
- As neighbors with gardens and views, we'll always try to be there to welcome you, explain things, give you a hug, and tell you all the little details of this humble INN. Although we're also somewhat nomadic, and there will be times when we won't be around: for those occasions, we have instructions prepared with everything you need to come in, press all the buttons, and be self-sufficient—we promise. If that weren't enough, you'll always have our phone handy, where we'll be always connected and ready to resolve any questions or issues remotely: many of our logistics and maintenance systems are designed to be operated remotely. Every month, new people arrive from all over the world: remote professionals, artists, writers, creative couples seeking tranquility. We gather around a table or a fire, sharing ideas and projects, walks, and laughter. We live with respect, simplicity, and curiosity. Our house offers calm, but also inspiration: a space where inspiration arises effortlessly.
