It is sad to hear about colivings closing, and specially when they close their doors since March 2020. If you had the opportunity to visit Sunago, share with us some of those great moments 💞
This is the message that David posted on their Instagram:
Dear folks,
It's with a lot of emotions that I definitively close the Sunago adventure.
We started when no one believed in this small fishing/surfing village of Ericeira.
Who could have predicted in 2019 that digital nomads from all over the world would come here. I didn't listen to anyone, I bet everything, and decided to follow my vision.
I have never set foot in a coworking space in my life, never visited other coliving spaces, nor even attended digital nomads conferences.
Far from the glitter, the fame and the spotlight, we gave everything, did our best, formerly with my business partner, now alone. We make this place the best coliving & coworking in Ericeira for three consecutive years.
Sunago was very personal, it was a childhood dream, a viceral need to create a shelter where individuals come to live together and share, all under the same roof in symbiosis, like a big family.
With the help of many people, we succeeded. I lived my dream to the fullest, we created a tribe of like minded souls.
I will be eternally grateful to the people who trusted me, who believed in and who supported this project.
To the hundreds of guests who have passed through Sunago's door, thank you a million times for your exchanges, your smiles, your advice, your tears.
Thank you, Ilearned and grew a lot.
I have other dreams in mind to accomplish, to live fully, other horizons to explore, instinctively as usual and without limitations.
Don't be sad! I already hear a lot of voices asking me "but why?"
Just remember the good times at Sunago and the friends and connections you made. Cherish them and take care of yourself.
See you soon.
