Most people think of the Algarve as a summer destination. But believe me as a local autumn is when it's at its best.
In October, the crowds are gone but the summer hasn't really left. Days are usually in the mid-twenties, the sea is still warm enough to swim (around 20°C), and the light gets softer and more golden as the month goes on. The air is dry, the evenings are mild, and Fuseta goes back to being what it is the rest of the year: a small fishing village where people know each other at the market.
It's also a good month to get serious about work again. After a summer of travelling, or a September that went by too fast, October is when a lot of our colivers come to reset, focus and deep work.
Why POMAR
We started POMAR in 2022 with one idea: build a place where remote workers can do their best work, stay active and spend time outside. Everything in the house is built around three things: deep work, sport and nature.
A typical day starts early with a walk or a run along the ria, the lagoon that runs along this part of the coast. Then comes a long, quiet work session in the coworking room, with 1 Gbps fibre and proper desks. At lunch, a swim at the beach, 10 minutes away on foot. In the afternoon, more focused work, then sunset by the water. On Fridays, we have dinner together and talk about how the week went. On tuesday Skillshares sessions and some other activities happening during the week (totally optional if u are too busy with work).

The sea view room. On the first floor, with its own bathroom and a view over the sea. It's the one you wake up in and see the water before you've even opened your laptop.
