Fem is a coliving where you can live and work remotely from the Pyrenees.
We offer between 1 and 4 months of accommodation and coworking in a rural environment.
Share day-to-day life with people who have similar interests in a creative and innovative atmosphere. Because the environment in which we develop a professional or life project influences our results without a doubt. Working in contact with nature, in a relaxed state and more connected to our vital needs can only add up.
If you come to FEM, you join a small but select family of brave, conscious and valid people, who are able to imagine the world we want to live in and take steps towards it.
While at FEM, several people have made changes that they had been meaning to do for a long time: they quit their jobs and took the first steps with their own project, they left the big city to go live in a village…
FEM is about deciding to focus on the quality of life and the social impact we make while we grow as professionals. It is about choosing the pace at which we want to live, and to share it with people who are in a similar moment and have decided to take the same step.
FEM is a bridge between the rural and the urban world. Living in the nature teaches us to lead an active but stress-free life: "Never stop but never hurry." (You will experience it if you decide to come!) FEM Coliving is about putting personal success above career success because we believe that if we feel good inside, one thing leads to another.
FEM is evolution, change, courage. It is about building connections, exchanging ideas, having fun. A lot of fun! It is about integrating nature and the rural world into our daily lives.

- How do I do groceries?
- Here, everything is easy. Even though we are not in the middle of town, and when you are in FEM you will see just fields, mountains, and forests, we are only 2 km away from Sant Pau de Segúries. It is easy to reach by car or by one of our bikes through a cycling track. It's a pleasant 5-10 minute bike ride or about 20 minutes on foot. There, you can find a local market every Thursday, some shops, a pharmacy, two bars, and small supermarkets. Additionally, we have a car and usually some other colivers come with vehicles too, so we organize trips to a bigger supermarket in Camprodon, just 10 minutes away by car.
- What are the coworking opening hours?
- As the coworking space is inside the house, it's always open. For a balanced experience, we make sure that everyone who comes is working, so the atmosphere is calm and productive during the workday, but active, fun and purposeful when we're not working. During working hours, you will find that everyone is mostly on their own. Working in the coworking space or in the outdoor spaces, making a call at the desk in their room or chatting during a break on the balcony (yes, contacts are also made at FEM!). But when the job is done, the job is done. It's time to take time for ourselves, individually or in groups. FEM is a place where you live together, do activities together and at the same time respect everyone’s own space and the moments spent by yourself, which we all need to lead a balanced life.
- What is the policy on pets? Are there any restrictions, fees or rules?
- Unfortunately we are not able to accommodate pets. We love animals and there are dogs, cats, chickens and cows on the farm, but precisely for this reason we cannot admit more. The animals around the house have their own rhythm and we prefer not to stress them or have them constantly change their dynamics.
- How do I get there?
- It's easy to get here by car (1:30 hours from Barcelona) or by public bus (1:50 from the center of Barcelona to Sant Pau de Segúries). The access is paved. We are 10 minutes by bike from the nearest village (Sant Pau de Segúries) and 10 minutes by car from towns like Camprodon. The regional capitals Ripoll and Olot are 20 and 25 minutes away, respectively. We have the privilege of living in La Folcrà (14th century), an emblematic Pyrenees farmhouse where agricultural and cattle farming has been practiced for hundreds of years. Currently, we share La Folcrà with the small family farm of Xevi and Gemma, who with their inclusive attitude help us – not only to contemplate life in nature, but also to understand and respect it day by day.
- What is included?
- It's included accommodation (private room and shared bathroom), utilities (water, gas, heating, electricity, and fiber optic internet), use of indoor common areas (coworking space, dining room, living room, kitchen, gallery, "era" space), and outdoor facilities. We also have an outdoor parking space available. At FEM we have opted for everyone to take care of their own food, according to their schedules, tastes and customs. Even so, we often get together for dinners or barbecues and share many moments around the table! But, considering that the stays are for at least one month, we believe that this approach contributes to a healthy balance between personal and common space. We share the expenses for food and products of common use by putting €18 per month into a jar. Additionally, once a week, a professional cleans the common areas thoroughly, and we share the cost, which amounts to 9€ per person. - Why did you decide to open?
- FEM is a life project that began when we, Joan and Elena, decided to prioritize quality of life and the social impact we create as we grow professionally. It's about choosing the pace at which we want to live and sharing that experience with other open-minded people who wish to share time, knowledge, and opinions while living together close to nature.
- How do you manage the community?
- Every month we all create a small family of between 6 and 8 people. Maybe because we are not too many, we come together, and we are characterized by the inclusive attitude of everyone who comes. When you arrive at FEM, you will find people who, like you, have chosen to rethink their way of living and have taken action: they are making an effort to live in a way that is consistent with their way of understanding things. Also, FEM is about integrating nature and the rural world into everyday life, creating bonds, exchanging ideas, having fun. A lot of fun! We don't have a closed agenda of activities but, depending on the time of year and everyone's interests, we organize together and do one thing or another. FEM is an ideal place to enjoy nature and do outdoor sports. High mountain trekking, skiing, cycling (both mountain and road), climbing, yoga, horseriding, collecting mushrooms, contemplating and learning about nature, collaborating in the garden... Due to its geographical location, Ripollès is an area with a lot of history and a cultural offer closely linked to the territory. There are many towns, buildings and historical places to visit, routes to follow (such as the Civil War retreat) and a good network of local producers with whom we organize workshops or visits according to the interests of each group. In addition, since we share our days with people who have complementary knowledge and professions, we also organize workshops to exchange knowledge among us. This common ground unites people and turns differences into opportunities to learn, it creates a family – a small but select family of brave, conscious and valid people, who are able to imagine the world we want to live in and take steps towards it.
