About Mi Casa Coliving
Mi Casa is a coliving & coworking home in Punta Zicatela, Puerto Escondido, created by Mexican women and inspired by the coast, community, and a more intentional way of living.
It’s a place where people come to work, slow down, and feel part of local life in Mexico, not just pass through it.
We have 5 private rooms and one shared room for those looking for more social interactions, shared spaces to cook and connect, a rooftop coworking area, and weekly community moments that naturally bring people together.

About the owners
We are Viridiana and Fernanda, two Mexican women who came together through a shared love for travel, hospitality, and creating meaningful spaces.
Fer has lived the digital nomad lifestyle firsthand, experiencing what it means to work and travel across different countries. Viri comes from years of experience in hospitality in Mexico, deeply connected to service, detail, and creating welcoming spaces.
Mi Casa was born from combining these two worlds: a desire to create a coliving that feels both rooted in local culture and designed for the reality of remote work and modern travel.
We chose Puerto Escondido because it reflects everything we love, ocean energy, a strong sense of community, and a rhythm that naturally slows life down.

- How do I do groceries?
- Groceries are very easy here. Local markets are just 5 minutes away by scooter, and you’ll also find small shops nearby with fresh, local ingredients. In La Punta, you’re surrounded by cafés and restaurants, so eating out is always an option too.
- What are the coworking opening hours?
- Our rooftop coworking space is open all day. It’s a relaxed palapa space, so you’re welcome to use it anytime you need to work or focus.
- What is the policy on pets? Are there any restrictions, fees or rules?
- We’re pet-friendly and welcome small dogs at Mi Casa. We allow up to 2 pets at a time. We kindly ask that pets stay off beds and sofas, and that owners take responsibility for cleaning up after them. A $200 MXN per night pet fee applies.
- How do I get there?
- The most convenient way to get here is by flying into Puerto Escondido, there are direct flights from Mexico City, and the airport is just a 20-minute drive from Mi Casa. If you’re already in Oaxaca or traveling through the state, buses are also a common option.

- Why did you decide to open?
- We opened Mi Casa because we wanted to create a space in Mexico that feels local, intentional, and rooted in our culture. As Mexican women, we care deeply about community and sharing this way of living with people from all over the world, in a way that feels real and welcoming.
- How do you manage the community?
- We organize weekly community moments such as cooking classes and local activities to encourage connection in a natural way. Viri, one of the founders, lives in Puerto Escondido and manages the community experience on-site.
