About Greek Escape
We are a community of people who live and work together. Here, you get to meet like-minded people, be productive and have fun while doing it. Greek Escape is also a space where creative ideas are born, new partnerships are built and knowledge is shared.
About the owners
"Let's meet inspiring people every day."
That’s what we told ourselves when we started our entrepreneurial adventure in 2016. From then on, we quit our jobs, put our lives in a suitcase and left our apartment. We enrolled in a business accelerator program in Lisbon, where we got to bring our business idea to life after an intensive month of research. Our biggest realization was that being a digital nomad and hopping from one place to the next can be very lonely.
We wanted to build a business that integrated travel and the strength of a community; and found the concept of coliving!
“Challenge accepted”; with that in mind we went back to Switzerland (the location we knew best) and opened what we thought would be our prototype (as we planned to hop from one location to the next).
Little did we know that Switzerland would be our full time location. Our first clients loved their experience so much that they asked us to come back the next year. This is how our prototype turned into a year-round business.
The Community at Greek Escape

Andreea and me arrived 1.5 weeks ago to work as the community hosts for January 2024. We rented a car for the month (400€) and since then explored not only Plakias but other parts of the island. The two houses are luxury villas and quite expensive in summer, but very affordable in winter, when they host Our escape Greece. Villa Hestia has six rooms that are accessible from the outside, a pool and a big kitchen/living room area. Villa Calliope has four more rooms (accessible from the inside) a kitchen and a coworking space plus another pool.
Our room, Sellia, is in the first villa and has an ensuite bathroom, like most of the rooms. So far, we have done at least three activities per week and can’t wait to see more.
There are multiple supermarkets close by and a few open restaurants in winter. The weather has been all over the place, but never colder than 10 degrees and it is supposed to be a sunny week.
If you are searching for a winter getaway coliving and love Greek food (with a lot of Cretan vegetarian options), look no further 😊

- Accommodation, weekly cleaning, laundry usage, utilities, coworking and other communal areas. Needless to say, community activities are coorganized by our community manager with the community.

- We had fell in love with the Greek people here, the food and the lush island.
