Juan, Teresa, tiny Juanita and the Bio Tayrona team are passionate about regeneration, indigenous wisdom, and community building. Juan is a Colombian entrepreneur and regenerative facilitator who has worked with local Kogui leaders and global nomads for over a decade.
His mission: To create spaces that heal both the land and the people who live and work on it.

- How do I do groceries?
- There’s a local minimarket right inside the property with daily essentials. For larger purchases, you can take a bus or bike 15 minutes to the nearest town with a supermarket. Some guests also coordinate shared market runs with the community. We also offer local organic produce on demand depending on the season.
- What are the coworking opening hours?
- Our coworking areas are open 24/7, including our Eco Smart Office and all four open-air coworking zones. We know your schedule might follow a different time zone, so we provide quiet, well-lit, solar-powered spaces with reliable Wi-Fi anytime you need.
- What is the policy on pets? Are there any restrictions, fees or rules?
- Yes, we are pet-friendly! We love animals and welcome them with a few guidelines: Pets must be well-behaved and social with people and other animals. Owners are responsible for cleanliness and damage. A small eco-maintenance fee may apply for stays longer than 1 week. Certain indoor shared spaces may be off-limits to pets.
- How do I get there?
- We’re located 5 minutes from the NEguanje Tayrona Park entrance on the Santa Marta-Riohacha highway. You can get here by: 🛻 Private pick-up (available with 24h notice from airport or bus station) 🚌 Public bus: ask the driver to stop at Bio Coliving Tayrona (right at our gate) 🛵 Motorbike or scooter rental available nearby We’ll send you exact GPS and directions after booking.

- Why did you decide to open?
- We created Bio Coliving Tayrona to reimagine what remote work and living could feel like—rooted in purpose, balance, and local connection. After years working between cities and rural communities, we realized the future of work needed a regenerative alternative—a place where people could grow, co-create, and live meaningfully. This is our contribution to that future.
- How do you manage the community?
- We cultivate a safe, inclusive, and conscious environment. We do this by: Holding a welcome circle for new guests Offering weekly activities (dinners, clean-ups, skill shares) Encouraging collaboration, not competition Having a community agreement to ensure respect and harmony Being always open to feedback through our improvement survey Everyone is welcome here—but we especially attract changemakers, creatives, healers, and remote professionals with purpose.
