🏡 The house: spacious, big garden, big dining table, sofas, hammock firewood, magnificent view right at my window's room! it could fit up to 15 people and I still have a space of my own.
🖥 Coworking space & meeting room: Coworking space with ergonomic chairs and cushion seating, is the silence area. there is no dedicated meeting area so when I had some calls, I tried to find a space next door, or the living room or sometimes I just went into my room. I had a possibility to work from the terrace too!
💻 Internet: it could be up to 100mb at that time. Mainly connected using Starlink and they have another backup internet provider too.
🛒 Groceries: 15 - 20 minutes to the nearest one with the bike ( you can see the view on the way down to the supermarket in 2nd picture) sometimes the owner or someone goes up and down quite frequently.
🍽 Kitchen: Quite a massive kitchen, can fit up to 2-3 people cooking at the same time. Lunchtime can be quite busy, sometimes I just put my food in the oven. Some rooms are equipped with their own kitchen.
We had dinner together a couple of times a week ( it depends on who wants to voluntarily cook)
🚘 Practical transportation: There are several bikes that we can use. During our hiking weekend, we didn't encounter problems fitting ten people into the cars. They have enough available cars for the trip together.
⛰ Surroundings & activities: There are tons of hiking routes and beautiful lakes. During my stay, we planned every week a hiking trip. Once it was overcast on the French side so we drove to the Spanish side for 30 minutes and it was better weather to hike. So yeah plenty of options. we were offered by many options to do many activities such as paragliding, canyoning, rafting, mountain biking, skiing, and many others. but unfortunately, our rafting adventure was canceled due to weather conditions so we had a raclette night instead. 😅
🌇 Town nearby: It took me 15 minutes to bike to the biggest town, I did this sometimes during my long lunch break. There are many restaurants and creperies around the area. But beware that returning to the coliving is quite steep, so I could just push the bike. we could also go to the surrounding town by bus, coming every hour.
👨👩👧👦 The community & host: I had met diverse & multinational colivers during my stay.
The host family was super nice and helpful, and very passionate about the project. And. the family connects us with the local people. it was a quite rare experience in the coliving that I could really connect and do activities together with the local people in the village.
