Our first month of volunteering together is coming to an end 🥲
@andreearrusu and me had the great pleasure of being the community managers for Greek @escape this January and it has been a beautiful month!
I don’t like the winter in Cologne, Germany, especially after Christmas, so I was really looking forward to escaping to Greece (pun intended). And Crete is such a diverse island with snowy mountains, green vegetation in winter and nice beaches.
It is not the best time to swim and we had some windy and cool days as well, but the view alone was worth it 😍 and it’s a great time for hiking.
The two villas are quite new, very comfortable and served as a relaxed work environment. Getting up at 10am is not a problem, because it is still 9 in the rest of Europe 😅
Since we have only been a small group of 5, managing the people has not been a challenge and we were focusing on standardizing the processes of this new Escape location, since Greek Escape was located in a house in Chania before.
As always, the month just flew by and we had a lot more sun than Cologne sees all winter, so we are leaving with good memories, but a hint of sadness.
