We’re back 🇯🇵 The 3rd edition of Alt_PopUp Kotohira is happening and if you’ve been waiting for a reason to finally do Japan differently, this is it.

Kotohira sits at the heart of one of Japan’s most famous pilgrimage routes, but most international travelers pass it by on their way to Tokyo or Kyoto. We live there for a month. And it changes you a little.

Think: making udon from scratch with locals who’ve been doing it for generations, learning the art of traditional candy making, hiking up to Kotohira Shrine, coworking with fast wifi and zero city stress, and the kind of conversations with Japanese people you just don’t get as a traveller passing through.
