Getting Your Coliving Set Up on Mapmelon: A Step-by-Step Guide

Welcome to Mapmelon — the all-in-one hub for colivers and coliving hosts. If you're a coliving host looking to join our community, this guide will walk you through the essential steps to get your space set up, ensuring you can reach a wider audience of remote workers and digital nomads.

1

Submit your coliving space

Head to the Add Your Coliving page and fill out the required information about your property.

What to include:

  • Name of your coliving space
  • Location details
  • Description and amenities
  • High-quality images

After submission:

Once we receive your request, we'll send you a confirmation email. We believe in building a strong community, so we prefer to review and onboard each coliving space personally.

2

Access the Backoffice

After your coliving space is added, you'll gain access to our Backoffice, where you can manage your property details.

Key features in the Backoffice:

  • Add accommodations: Define the rooms or units available in your coliving space.
  • Sync availability: Avoid double bookings by syncing your calendar. Learn more in our All About iCal article.
3

Update your coliving location

Ensure your property appears correctly on the map by updating your location information in the Backoffice.

How to update your location:

  1. Navigate to Location: go to your coliving's dashboard and click on Property > Location.
  2. Update your location: edit your current location (e.g., city, country) and click Save to apply the changes.

This will adjust your listing's position on the map and may also influence the reviews displayed. When you set or update your location, choose your Google Maps pin to place your coliving correctly on the map and enable importing your Google reviews automatically.

Tip: Keep your location up to date to make your space more discoverable to digital nomads and colivers browsing nearby options.
4

Add accommodations

To attract colivers, you'll need to add accommodations to your listing.

How to add accommodations:

  1. Navigate to Accommodations: go to your coliving's dashboard and click on Property > Accommodations.
  2. Create new accommodation: click on New Accommodation, fill in details like room type, description, amenities, and pricing, and upload high-quality images.
Tip: The more detailed your accommodation listings, the more appealing they are to potential colivers. Keep prices the same as or lower than those offered on your official site or elsewhere.
5
