I'm excited to start a thread of different posts about Bansko Nomadfest 2023 and transport you to this vibrant town in Bulgaria through my words. It's been a busy week filled with interesting experiences, from engaging discussions about a new project to fun bonfire parties, visits to bear sanctuaries, and even ecstatic dance lessons π€
Let's start by talking about the Coliving Community at Bansko Nomadfest. @@reymon359 and I kicked off the theme on Monday by discussing the history and reasons behind colivings (we'll share the video soon!). There were also other talks about community and accommodations for digital nomads. Most of the coliving discussions took place during the Unconference sessions, where we gathered in smaller groups to explore various topics π£οΈ
During the Unconference sessions, we had the pleasure of meeting coliving owners from different parts of the world, ranging from Switzerland and France to South Korea and Japan! This event provided us with an opportunity to connect, support each other in building better communities, and enhance our marketing efforts through collaboration π‘β€οΈ
Then something incredible happened... during a lunch meeting, some of colivings owners came up with the idea of a Nomad Trail. An exciting adventure that reminds us of the romantic European interrails, but this time, as adults. π
The concept of the Nomad Trail involves a group of 15-20 nomads who will stay at a different European nomad coliving each month for a total duration of 3 or 6 months. They will travel to each location without taking flights, similar to the Camino de Santiago but designed for nomad colivers! π₯Ύπ
As part of this adventure, participants will receive a special passport and collect stamps from each coliving they visit. This will allow them to spend more time with a nomad community and explore multiple spaces simultaneously. The idea is still in development, so any feedback is greatly appreciated! π
All of this, and much more, unfolded in just 7 days! Thanks to Bansko Nomadfest, @@jeanneeftn @@stefan @@philipp @@ivano, and the rest of the coliving group, the Mapmelon team feels more connected to the nomad coliving community than ever π«
Stay tuned for the next chapter of our experience at Bansko Nomadfest 2023. We'll be sharing more insights, adventures, and memorable moments from this incredible event soon π
