Welcome to Seoul Nooks! A space where global citizens create a community of love across three homes in Seoul. We're not just accommodation - we're a place to truly belong, not just pass through.
Our experience emphasizes authentic local living, where you'll gain real Korean context through relationships with locals and neighbors. We practice nonviolent communication, hold monthly townhalls for co-creation, and foster connections that extend far beyond our walls.
We're organic and unique - sometimes contemplative with deep conversations, sometimes adventurous exploring Seoul together. Through buddy programs and local friend communities, we create countless opportunities for meaningful relationships to flourish.
This is where different cultures learn from each other, where everyone belongs exactly as they are, and where strangers become family in a community built on love.
About the owners
I'm Yeji Cheon, born in Korea but belong to the world. I'm from a small town in Korea and have been moving since I was 14, away from my parents - essentially a stranger since then. I tried to fit in and failed, but eventually extended my identity far beyond where I am, to the world. In the end, I just created a space where we all could belong as who we are, regardless of where we're coming from.
Seoul Nooks started in 2019 when I realized I didn't want to settle for conventional living. What began as a shared house has grown into three homes where people from different cultures come together, challenge each other's perspectives, and grow. I love dancing, football, deep conversations, and local festivals - always expanding my understanding through our diverse community.
This is my way of building bridges across cultures, one connection at a time. I speak Japanese and a bit of Chinese, and I've learned that the most profound growth happens when we open ourselves to others' stories.

Seoul Nooks is no ordinary co-living and that's why it's probably not for everyone.
You become part of a family not a simple share house. It's about truly connecting and treating the space you live in like a home, instead like a stop over.
I personally have never felt so comfortable in a co-living.
All three houses have their own charme and are in a great central location, yet the neighborhood is very quiet.

- How do I do groceries?
- Many grocery stores available within a 2-3 minute walk. There's a big mart 15 minutes away on foot. Local friends can help with online delivery if needed. We're in the city, so no problem getting what you need!
- What are the coworking opening hours?
- Anytime for colivers! Just take calls in your own room during quiet hours, or for long calls during the daytime.
- What is the policy on pets? Are there any restrictions, fees or rules?
- We love pets but since we're not the landlord, cats are usually difficult. Let us know if they don't scratch or damage - then they're fine. Depending on who's living with us at the time, if someone has allergies we'll recommend one of our other houses. There's a 200,000 won extra fee per month, and any damage needs to be covered by the pet owner.
- How do I get there?
- We're conveniently located near Seoul Station, which you can reach by airport train from Incheon Airport. From there you can walk (15-25 minutes), take a bus, or taxi (10 minutes).
- What is included?
- Living & Working: Coworking space, desk & chair in every room, free internet, access to all three homes and their shared spaces. Community: Monthly townhalls (workshops, deep listening, co-creation), buddy program with neighborhood tours, monthly microcosmos sessions for deeper connections, Discord community. Local Perks: Live with locals for authentic Korean context, discounts at 2 partner cafes, balanced mix of long-term and short-term residents. Amenities: Books, projector/screen, and more shared resources.
- Why did you decide to open?
- Seoul Nooks was born from a desire to maintain an explorer's spirit while living in Seoul. After experiencing the profound connections possible through hosting travelers during nomadic years, the founder wanted to create a sustainable way to continue this exchange of perspectives. The goal was to challenge conventional thinking, see Seoul through fresh eyes, and create a space where local and global perspectives could meet. It's designed as a "temple of growth" where kindred spirits practice the art of living in harmony, focused on creating better global citizens who can spark positive change in the world.
- How do you manage the community?
- We're a co-created, decentralized community where everyone contributes to shaping our shared experience. As founder, I play my role but I'm not the only leader - we actively nurture leadership among our members, especially long-termers who naturally take on more responsibilities. We're not just a coliving community - we have alumni, friends of friends, and non-coliving members all involved in our extended family. Our events emerge organically from whoever is part of our circle at the time. Sometimes we're in a quiet phase - small groups sharing meals, working together at cafes. Other times we're super active - baseball games, hiking adventures, exploring local markets. The rhythm changes, but the connection never stops. Members suggest, we adapt. We carefully curate our community through an application process because the right mix of people is everything. We encourage everyone to make this your own home by contributing your unique gifts.
