About Life at Selgars
Life at Selgars is the perfect way to end and begin your year. Enjoy shared meals every evening and give yourself the space and time to work on a creative project or new business idea. Experience moments of co-created magic and serendipity that happen when you are surrounded by inspiring, curious and likeminded people every day. Life at Selgars is not a hotel or an airbnb. We are a community that consciously decides how we wish to live together for several weeks, preferably even months. We share more than just a roof. We share food, thoughts, challenges, ideas, skills and memories. Life at Selgars is the perfect place to come to when you need to start a project, or finish it. Or when you need that peace and quiet but also the support, feedback, gentle challenge, and positive peer pressure that a genuine community brings. We are a 19th century Mill Estate in the beautiful Devon countryside, in the south West of England, 2h away by train from London and 1h from the seaside. We can host up to 20 colivers for a period between 2 weeks and 4 months.
We share more than just a roof. We share food, thoughts, challenges, ideas, skills and memories.
Regarding our internet speed: We have 3 different networks over 3 different buildings, with speeds between 20 and 240 Mbps.
About the owners
Anton and Mo met in a residential Coliving (K9) in Stockholm back in 2017.
Anton is from London and Mo is French, but she has been living abroad for the past 17 years.
They co-run Selgars together, Mo focusing on the coliving season, Anton leading the events in the summer. They both work on the side as freelancers.
They have one bernese montain dog, Zuko and two cats, Aurora and Novak.

Was an unique experience. I loved the people I met and the moments we shared. I can't wait to come back! My room was very confortable. The dinners together were great.

- How do I do groceries?
- We organise weekly deliveries and figure out a schedule for pot-luck dinners. We are passionate about health and wellbeing and will try out best to come up with an affordable food plan that works for everyone. Where possible we will aim to buy fresh, locally produced and organic ingredients, and avoid plastic packaging of course...
- What are the coworking opening hours?
- There are lots of spaces to work from that are all accessible at any time of the day. We are in the process of creating a workshop as well.
- What is the policy on pets? Are there any restrictions, fees or rules?
- Yes. Selgars is a pet-friendly place. Zuko, our Bernese Mountain dog is the head of Security though so your pet will need to pass his lick & sniff test. Jokes aside, do let us know if you are hoping to come with a fur friend and we'll have a chat. Please note that we do not allow dogs in the bedrooms upstairs.
- How do I get there?
- Selgars Mill is 2.5 miles from Tiverton Parkway train station in Mid-Devon. From there you can book a taxi transfer (5 mins) or cycle in 12 min. By train, Tiverton Parkway is 14 minutes from Exeter, 45 minutes from Bristol and 2 hours from London Paddington. The address is Selgars Mill, Cullompton, Devon, EX15 3DA. We recommend bringing your bike and using it to get to local shops, cafes and the train station.
- What is included?
- Friends ;-) Coffee/tea, salt, pepper, spices, towels, sheets, laundry detergent and toilet paper of course. Internet, and weekly cleaning. Sauna, cold dip and gym equipment. Any veggies and fruits from the trees and veg garden that would come out in winter.
- Why did you decide to open?
- Anton and I met in a residential coliving community in Sweden. Community has always been part of our story. Having our own space became a dream, and when we found Selgars, it was clear to us that we needed to have a coliving season. We love running different projects and shared living is something that brings a lot of inspiration to us both and we hope we can give that to others.
- How do you manage the community?
- We believe you need structures for flow to appear.
