- How do I do groceries?
- There's a local supermarket a 5 min walk from Dwell. You can also drive to Capelas to bigger supermarkets like Continente, Pingo Doce and Casa Cheia (8-10min drive).
- What are the coworking opening hours?
- Typically people work from the coworking between 7am-9pm.
- What is the policy on pets? Are there any restrictions, fees or rules?
- We love pets and would love to have them around but we need to mindful of our guests. We need to check if anyone staying with us has any pet allergies or fobias. If you travel with your pet, let us know and we'll see what we can do.
- How do I get there?
- Dwell is an 18min drive from the airport in Ponta Delgada. Taxis are always waiting just outside the airport and the fare to Fenais da Luz is around 18-20EUR. Public transport doesn't function well on the island so we definitely recommend either taking a taxi or renting a car.
- What is included?
- Accommodation, work space, simple breakfast (3 cereals, milk, plant based milk, fruit), unlimited tea, coffee, wine. Great atmosphere in the house. Various activities (cooking nights, bbqs, movie nights, hikes, surfing, swimming etc). You become part of a community :)
- Why did you decide to open?
- Charles and I had been dreaming of opening a guesthouse for people that work remotely. We'd visited the Azores twice before deciding to buy one way tickets to Sao Miguel and checking if we could start our business there. We found a house directly on the ocean and immediately decided to buy it. It was 2019. We renovated it ourselves and we opened Dwell in 2020.
- How do you manage the community?
- Chalrles and I (Ania) are the owners. We're on Sao Miguel most of the time, as the island is our home base. We also have fantastic volunteers that help us run Dwell.
